I have been buying those expensive garbage disposal cleaners the past few years. I decided to try something new that I found on Pinterest. Making your own garbage disposal refresher with only two ingredients! It smells great too.

1/2 c. lemon juice
1/2 c. baking soda

Warm up the lemon juice for 30-40 seconds in the microwave. Mix in the baking soda (do this in a tall bowl, as it will bubble up). After mixing well, turn on the garbage disposal and pour down. Run hot water down afterwards.

This has worked great for me so far! I like the fresh smell and no chemicals. Have you tried something like this?
