How $130 Worth of Items Cost Me Less Than 20 Bucks!

It’s been a pretty busy week, but I’ve had to make a couple different trips to the store to pick up some items for the kids’ lunches and a few other necessities. I was a little proud of myself, since I got almost $130 worth of stuff for less than $20, including 44 free items! Yee HAW!

Of course, I’m counting the Catalina coupons and GasPoints I earned, which are worth their weight in gold to me!

Here’s a real quick rundown:

Walmart

  • $34.70 worth of merchandise
  • $7.32 after coupons

Tops Markets (2 trips)

  • $93.67 worth of merchandise (roughly)
  • $28.10 after coupons and SavingStar offers
    – $12 in GasPoints (For max 30 gallons)
    – $2 OYNT Catalina coupon for buying Kraft cheese, bread, and produce
    – $2 OY    NT Catalina coupon for buying Kraft cheese, bread, and produce
    – $1.50 OYNT Catalina coupon for buying 2 Magnum ice cream bars
  • Final Cost: $10.60

I really went hog wild the last couple of weeks on the GasPoint deals at this particular store, since it’s the last week I can earn them for a couple of weeks. The final tally was $2.60 off per gallon, which means I’ll only pay about $1 per gallon. Golly, I feel like I’m in high school again!

Usually when I do this, I’ll fill up the tank in the Jeep as well as a gas can or two for the lawn mower. Hey, I’ve gotta get my money’s worth! Gas is expensive these days!
