Have you jumped on the do-it-yourself wipes bandwagon yet? Today is a good day to do it. Staples has the paper towels I use in my “recipe” on sale for $8.99 Shipped (8-pack). The paper towels are the Bounty Select-a-Size and here are some recipes for you:
.
For each recipe you will need 1 roll of Bounty Select-a-Size paper towels cut in half (use a sharp, non serrated knife to prevent fuzzies), 6-7-cup container (I use Ziploc) and the specific ingredients to each recipe. You will pour the liquid into the container first, then put in the paper towels. You will squash down the paper towels and put the lid on your container. Then you will turn it upside down for 5-10 minutes. Then you can turn it right-side-up and remove the cardboard roll. At this point you can also pull up the center of the paper towels and consider your wipes a success!
.
Makeup Remover Cloths
.
2 C Water
1 squirt of your favorite face wash (I use Neutrogena)
1 T coconut oil (melted in the microwave – refined will not have a smell, unrefined smells like yummy coconut)
.
Baby Wipes
.
2 C water
1 squirt of Baby Wash
1 T coconut oil (see above)
.
Disinfectant Wipes (all-purpose)
.
1 C water
1 C liquid household cleaner (like Lysol)
.
Window/Mirror Wipes
.
1 C water
1 C rubbing alcohol
.
Pretty much any wipes you can spend a lot of money for in the store, you can make for much less. These hold together very well and I LOVE that I can customize them for my needs.

This is SOOOOOO awesome! I just ordered my Paper towels. I am going to use an extra ice-cream bucket that I have to store mine in. I am going to first make the disinfectant towels!
Thank you so much for sharing this idea!!!!

i’msavinmoney – I’m glad you’re excited about it. I LOVE them. I made new face wipes & disinfectant wipes yesterday.
One note – the ice cream bucket may be a bit large… you really squish them in the container and a 6-7 cup container is perfect. If your bucket is a gallon size (16 cups) it may be a bit large.
Hope you love making them as much as I do! 🙂
