There are several cooperative food purchasing options available in Utah.
Purchasing food items through a co-op is a great way to save money on your groceries. A food co-op is a group of people who pool their resources to get what they need. Buy buying together participants pay discounted bulk pricing.
I will be sharing several Utah co-op options in the coming days, but today I want to focus on The Community Food Co-op of Utah.
Each month, members pre-order their groceries. They are able to order as many shared as they would like and there is no monthly commitment. This particular co-op prides itself in providing most of their food items from local farmers and businesses.
There are several distribution sites across the Wasatch Front. This month the ordering deadline is September 10th and then the pick up date is September 25th.
