Cost Saving Tips for Larger Families

Do you have a large family? A large family is typically considered any family with 4 or children or more. If you do, you probably already know how expensive it can be to support a large family. Kids aren’t cheap, y’all!

These money saving tips for large families are going to help you stress less and smile more because your budget won’t be so strained and you won’t be kept up all night long from the stress of it all. Heck, many small families have those same stresses, just often on a different level.

Money Saving tips for Large Families

Practice Energy Saving Habits

I have a family of 5 and my power bill can get out of control, so I can’t imagine what it would be with a family that is larger in size. To save money on your power bill with a larger family, be sure to unplug appliances that aren’t in use, turn off lights during the day and when you leave the room, and try and turn your thermostat down. Even a degree or two can make a difference on your bill.

Meal Plan

Meal planning is one of the top ways to save money for families of all sizes, large families included! Plus, it saves you a lot of time too! Additionally, families that meal plan tend to not waste food as often as those that don’t. It’s a win win win!

Meal planning isn’t just for dinner, either! It’s a good idea to make a meal plan for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Meal planning just makes life easier.

Buy in Bulk

I’m not usually big on pressuring people to buy in bulk. I don’t typically think that it is a blanket option for saving money for families. The only time that I recommend buying in bulk is if your family uses a lot of a certain product (for example, we eat a lot of oatmeal here so I often buy it in bulk), and when you have a larger family.

You have a larger family which means that you go through more food, which means that bulk shopping is a great idea!

Budget

Create a budget and stick to it. While it isn’t quite as easy as that, it also kind of is. Creating a budget and following said budget makes a big difference in how much money you spend each month.

How to Save Money on Ski Rentals & Tickets

If you live in a snowy climate where skiing is available, then you’ll know how expensive it can get! By the time you buy the or rent the skis/board, boots, accessories and the tickets it adds up. We have a family of 6 so skiing is definitely an investment, but so fun. If you want to begin skiing then here are some money saving tips to save money on ski rentals & tickets.

  1. Watch for lift ticket “specials” for each day of the week. I know a few resorts that do date night deals, family night deals, kids ski free days. Check websites before you go and notice that the spring months will have cheaper prices. Be sure to search for coupons at your local resort as well. A little research will go a long way.
  2. Check out the package deals if you are considering staying overnights. These packages will include lift tickets as well as lodging and even entertainment at some resorts. This way you won’t be buying everything individually.
  3. Purchase ski tickets in advance. If you know the day(s) you will be skiing then buy them early. You will save money the earlier you buy them. You’ll notice that if you buy them the day of, they will be more money.
  4. Saving money on your ski equipment- check out your local university. Did you know if you live in a skiing community some  universities rent out gear? We went to Weber State University which is near where we live and we were able to rent skis for our kids for cheaper than any other ski rental shop. So cool! Check a university near you.
  5. End of year clearance sales. Did you know that a lot of store start putting their ski gear on clearance starting in March? That’s when I get my stuff to finish off the ski season now or to start the new ski season next Winter. It’s the best time to grab new clothing, coats, gloves, hats, skis and more. So shop your favorite brands and save!
  6. Shop on Facebook Market Place or local classifieds. If you want to buy some ski gear, then be sure to check these places first. Especially right now in the Spring, people will be selling items they didn’t use this year. So it’s a Win-Win!

This One Tip Will Help You Save a Lot of Money this Year

Are you trying to figure out how to save money? Things are tough out there right now so trust me, I get it! I have been buckling down a lot on the budget lately and I have embarrassingly discovered that I am spending over $110 each month on random subscriptions. Well, if I’m being honest, my husband is responsible for about 75% of those. So, in order to save money we had a sit down conversation about the fact that we needed to go through the list of subscriptions and cut some of them out.

As it turns out, many of these subscriptions were random trials that we had signed up for and forgotten to cancel. Most of them are less than $5 or $10 so they were easy to not really notice. In case you haven’t figured it out yet, canceling unused subscriptions is the one tip that will help you save a lot of money this year.

This One Tip Will Help You Save a Lot of Money this Year

Before you just randomly start canceling subscriptions though, ask yourself a these questions regarding each one:

Do I Actually Use This?

If you do actually use this subscription, it’s probably not the one to cancel.

Do I Like This?

If you like this particular subscription, you should definitely keep it. If not, time to cancel it.

Does This Save Me Time, Money or Energy?

If you have found that this subscription helps to save you time, money or energy, keep it! We can all use more of those!

Do I Waste my Time or Energy Using This Subscription?

If you find that your time could be spent better doing something, then you should probably move on from this one.

Does this Help Me Make Money?

If you are making money off of this subscription, then keep it! Shocking, I know, but there are subscriptions out there that can help you make money.

Is it Worth The Money to Me?

Maybe you have liked the subscription, but you don’t necessarily like it enough to justify the money spent. Get rid of this one.

Is There a Cheaper Version Available?

Is there a cheaper version of this subscription available to you? Consider taking advantage of that option to save yourself some money.

How to Save Money on Your Wedding Dress

Are you getting married soon? Have you found your wedding dress yet? Are you absolutely shocked by the cost of wedding dresses? I’ve been married for a LONG time, but my husband and I are planning to renew our wedding vows and I’ve been looking at dresses. WOW they are expensive. I will say that I was shocked.

Here’s the thing though, I paid nothing for my original wedding dress. I am probably a little behind the times here, but additionally, my husband and I literally paid a total of $180 for our wedding so I’m definitely not the extravagant wedding expert here. I was given a beautiful dress by a friend of mine and we got married in a local park. It was lovely and very inexpensive.

How to Save Money on Your Wedding Dress

Despite my original wedding dress being free, I am planning to buy a dress this time and I’ve been doing some research and searching to see how to find the best deals.

Clearance

I was at David’s Bridal recently and oh my gosh I found some amazing deals on wedding dresses in the clearance section. I don’t have a super specific dress in mind so I’m able to be open minded about the dresses I find. I found dresses on the clearance rack for as low as $79!! I tend to like dresses that are a little more simple in style though, so that probably helps.

Thrift Shops

Many thrift shops have sections dedicated to wedding dresses! Most of these dresses are in good shape, many of them are even brand new! I’m not a superstitious person and I love wearing thrifted clothes anyway so I have no reason not to go this route for a wedding gown.

Marketplace

FB Marketplace is a wonderful place to find great deals on wedding dresses! I have found that many of the dresses you’ll find here are brand new. Oftentimes people will buy a dress and then change their mind once their wedding gets closer, buying another one and rather than go through the return they put them up for sale on marketplace. My sister in law got married last year and did exactly this!

Wish/Shein/Amazon

Wish, Shein and Amazon are all great places to find seriously good deals on wedding dresses! I spotted some for $40! When you think about it, you are going to wear this dress one time for a few hours, I don’t think it’s necessary to spend a lot on a dress that will only be worn for a short time. I have a friend who ordered 2 dresses off of Wish and swapped dresses during her wedding day. She loved them and her pictures looked incredible!

Unique Cookie Recipes

Who here loves cookies? Okay, please tell me I’m not the only one shouting yes! I know that I need to cut back on the sweets, but it’s technically still a holiday weekend so that can wait until tomorrow. Today I’m focusing on fun and unique cookies!

My nephew has a birthday coming up and he absolutely loves cookies so I am planning to make a platter to add to his birthday goodies! Instead of the typical sugar cookie, chocolate chip cookie list, this time I am adding some unique cookies to the mix.

Unique Cookie Recipes

All of these unique cookie recipes are fun and will get all of the cookie monsters in your life excited! I mean, seriously, how cute and yummy do these all look! Come on, get baking with me!

Lion King Paw Print Cookies

My nephew absolutely loves the Lion King so when I spotted this recipe for Lion King Paw Print Cookies, I just knew that he was going to love it. You do need to have a few special tools in hand, but I have a while until I make these so I’m not too stressed about ordering them in time.

Do you have a Lion King fan in your life? Would they love these cookies?

Rainbow Chocolate Truffles

Okay, technically not cookies, but close enough right?! I mean, I love truffles and if I saw a cookie platter in front of me that had these rainbow chocolate truffles, I can assure you that I would definitely be picking these. The kids will love them too. I mean, they do have sprinkles.

Chocolate Cherry Crinkle Cookies

Chocolate Cherry Crinkle Cookies. Need I say more? These look like they would be absolutely delicious and because I have all of the ingredients for them at home, I will soon be finding out!

Can THC Vape Help You In Relieving Muscle Pain?

Many people are turning to alternative methods for pain relief, and one of the most popular is using THC vaping. Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the psychoactive compound found in cannabis that provides a feeling of euphoria. While it is widely used recreationally, THC Vape Pen can also be beneficial medically. In this blog post, we will explore how vaping can help to relieve muscle pain.

https://www.pexels.com/photo/photography-of-a-man-using-vape-1005486/

How Can THC Help With Pain?

For centuries, cannabis has been used to help manage pain and improve emotional well-being. More specifically, researchers have discovered that one of the active compounds within cannabis, tetrahydrocannabinol, is believed to be responsible for this relief. When consumed, THC activates specific receptors in the brain, ultimately reducing inflammation and offering relaxation. This calming effect helps to manage the discomfort associated with chronic pain and can even relieve muscle spasms. Additionally, because it does not interact with other medications like traditional pain meds, many people turn to THC as low-risk holistic care for managing their chronic ailments.

Different THC products for pain reduction

For practical and effective pain relief, many are exploring THC products. These products come in various forms, ranging from oils to salves to gummies. Each product offers its unique benefits. For example, oils can be taken orally or applied topically; salves may provide quicker, localized relief, while gummies can last longer and work systematically throughout the body. All these products offer differing levels of concentration, allowing users to find the ideal scent, strength, and delivery system for their needs. As always with cannabis use, start low and slow when trying out any new THC product for pain reduction; this will ensure you find the best possible experience for yourself and your body.

THC Vape

THC Vape is quickly becoming one of the hottest cannabis products. Its popularity is due to its convenience and discretion compared to other consumption methods and its potency, making it an attractive alternative for experienced consumers. The effects of Vape products can be felt almost immediately and have a short duration when compared with forms such as edibles or capsules. Consumers can find vapes that contain only THC or a combination of CBD and THC, which offer the user an experience closer to smoking flowers. With advancements in technology, numerous market options regarding performance, design, and price exist, enabling more users to access this form of cannabis consumption.

How does THC Vape work?

Vaping is an increasingly popular battery-powered vaping method of consuming THC. Vaping utilizes the same active ingredient, tetrahydrocannabinol, found in flowers or cannabis extracts. THC vaping works by heating the vaporizable material inside a power supply device like a vape pen to create vapor. This creates an inhalable form of THC, which provides effects similar to those created by smoking cannabis without burning plant matter and unpleasant smells. Additionally, vape cartridges contain naturally derived terpenes that can further enhance your overall experience. You can achieve highly regulated and tailored doses with consistent use for a more enjoyable experience.

What Are The Benefits Of Vaping?

Vaping provides a more efficient delivery method than other forms of cannabis consumption, like smoking or edibles. When you vape, you are inhaling vaporized liquid THC which allows it to quickly enter your bloodstream and provide faster relief than with other methods. Additionally, vaping has fewer health risks since no smoke is involved, so you do not need to worry about the potential carcinogens that come with smoking cannabis products.

How to buy the best THC vape for muscle pain?

Buying the best vape for muscle pain can be a daunting task, due to the wide range of cannabis product options out there. Generally speaking, it is essential to research your local laws on cannabis use and find safe, high-quality products that are tested and regulated. To determine what specific type of THC vape is the best fit for muscle pain, consider using topical products containing CBD or a hybrid THC/CBD combination, as they have been known to both reduce inflammation and provide relief without the psychoactive effects associated with other products.

Additionally, it is advisable to read customer reviews and talk with industry experts or medical professionals if further information is desired. Considering these steps, you can increase your chances of finding an effective THC vape solution for muscle pain.

What is the price of a high-quality THC Vape?

If you’re in the market for a high-quality vape, there’s no doubt you’ll pay a premium. People often have this question: how much does a vape cost? But this price will be worth it in the satisfaction of owning a device that operates efficiently and productively throughout regular use. You can expect to pay more upfront for a top-tier device but enjoy more excellent durability, better control over the quality of your vaporizing experience, and superior performance. Add to these high-powered batteries and advanced technology built into these units, and you’ve got a well-worth investment. With prices in the $100-$150 range, higher-quality vaporizers provide an ideal combination of performance, convenience, and value for your money.

What Are The Side Effects?

Like any medication, there are potential side effects associated with vaping THC. These include dry mouth, dizziness, paranoia, anxiety in some cases, and increased heart rate and blood pressure levels. It is important to note that these side effects are typically mild and do not last long compared to other medications used for muscle pain relief, such as opioids or NSAIDs, which can cause more severe side effects if taken regularly over time. It is always best practice to consult your doctor before trying any medication for muscle pain relief.

Conclusion:

Overall, vaping THC may be viable for those seeking an alternative form of muscle pain relief without the risk of severe side effects associated with other medications such as opioids or NSAIDs. However, speaking with your doctor before trying this method is crucial, as there may be contraindications depending on your medical history or current medications. Additionally, make sure you purchase your products from reputable sources to know what type of quality product you are receiving!
