Earlier this week I did a post on ways that having good credit can help you save a good bit of money. Since then, I’ve received some questions from people about credit. One of the main problems people are facing is that they simply don’t know how to establish credit. Below, I’m going to go over some ways that you can establish credit, so you can start building your credit up. With proper management, you’ll be able to not only establish credit, but you’ll be able to establish good credit and maintain it. That way, you save the most money.
Now, I know this is something a bit out of the ordinary and it’s a tough question to ask someone, but you have to obtain credit somehow. Take a step back and ask yourself which family members and friends you have that are financially stable and are trustworthy. Once you have someone picked out, you should ask them if you can be added as an authorized user on their account.
Of course, this is a big question and you may get rejected, but it’s worth a shot. Just explain to them that you’re trying to establish credit and that you don’t even want to make purchases on their account. Tell them that you don’t even want a credit card or any of their info. This is one of the easiest ways to start building credit.
Now, this one is going to be really tough, because there’s a lot of risk involved for the person that co-signs for you. If you would happen to stop paying on the loan, your co-signer would be responsible for the remaining balance, so most people won’t co-sign for other people. If you know someone that has good credit, you could ask them to do this for you and agree that you will stand by your word.
This one is going to be a little bit tough, because not many credit card companies are going to risk giving someone with no established credit a credit card. However, companies like CapitalOne are usually willing to take the risk. Starting off, however, you’ll probably be on a very strict credit line and you will also have high interest rates. This is good, because you won’t be able to rack up a ton of debt, but it’s also bad, because you’ll pay high interest rates. If you’re going to get a credit card, you should pay off the balance every single month, so you can avoid interest charges.
It’s much easier to get a credit card at a store than it is to get a general credit card from someone like Discover. I would highly suggest that you don’t get a store credit card to splurge on things you don’t need. Instead, you could get a store credit card for a place like Walmart and use it for things you were already going to purchase that month, like groceries.
I’ve discussed many times in the past about how you can make money from the comfort of your own home. One of the tips I discussed is that you can sell some of the stuff in your house on Ebay or Craigslist. After all, there’s no point in throwing out your children’s old clothes, because they’ve simply outgrown them. So, if you’ve went through your home and you have some stuff you want to get rid of, I’m going to give you a list of pros and cons for both Ebay and Craigslist. That way, you’ll have a better idea of which service you should go with.

At the end of the day, you can pick whichever site sounds the best to you. Just look over the pros and cons and figure out which is more suitable for your needs. Personally, I would suggest that you try both services to figure out which one works the best for you. That way, you get an understanding for both.
SAFETY TIP
If you sell items through Craigslist to someone you don’t know, you should try to meet with them in a public settling and make the transaction there. If it’s a larger item, you’ll probably have to have them come to your house to pick it up. In this case, I’d suggest having a friend over, so you’re not alone.
No iron shirts are something that I have talked about a lot with stay at home moms and frugal moms. As a stay at home mom, I don’t have much time. I’m on a very limited schedule, so no iron shirts sound like they could save me some time, because I won’t have to iron my husband’s dress shirt. However, I’m a frugal mom, as well, so I have to ask myself whether or not the no iron dress shirts are worth it. They will save me time, but they’re much more expensive than a regular dress shirt. Typically, they’re as much as $50 more than a regular dress shirt and that’s a huge difference. Below, I’m going to go over some pros and cons of no iron dress shirts to help you determine whether or not they’re worth it.
A no iron shirt is going to save you a decent bit of time, because you obviously won’t have to iron it. Therefore, you definitely won’t have to slave over an ironing board. We’ve had wrinkle-free shirts in the past and as most of us know, you have to iron those regardless.
If you do manage to find a wrinkle-free shirt that actually does work, you’ll probably hate the fact that they’re cheap looking. No iron shirts, such as the ones from Brooks Brothers, actually look very nice and crisp.
Another pro to these shirts is that they actually do remain wrinkle-free and crisp all day long. Having a nice, wrinkle-free dress shirt is important these days, because the whole shabby chic style is now outdated.
These shirts will help you maintain a good appearance all day long, as mentioned above, which will lead to more respect and that may lead to a promotion.
Now, I know that not everyone takes their clothes to the dry cleaner, but if you do, you would be able to save money by having a no iron shirt, because you wouldn’t have to take them to the dry cleaner to be ironed.
A no iron shirt is going to cost you quite a bit more money than a regular dress shirt. Chances are, you’ll be able to pick up a nice dress shirt for around $20.00. A no iron shirt that actually works is going to cost you at least double that amount of money. If you want a Brooks Brothers shirt, which is one of the best, you could pay as much as $80.00 per shirt. That’s a lot of money to shell out for a shirt. However, you get what you pay for.
At the end of the day it’s up to you as to whether or not you should go with a no iron shirt. Just look over the pros and cons and make your decision based off of that. It basically comes down to money versus time.
Buying a new car is never easy and it’s never a cheap experience. For a lot of people, buying a new car is often times one of the biggest investments they ever make in their life. Below, I’m going to go over some mistakes that people commonly make when they buy a new car. These mistakes usually have a major negative impact on the person’s budget, so I highly suggest you read over these mistakes and make sure you don’t make them if you’re on the hunt for a new set of wheels.
Most car dealerships actually get their new inventory early in the year. Therefore, they don’t really have any sales quotas they’re trying to hit. In other words, they’re going to be much more difficult to negotiate with and they won’t offer up as many incentives. If you’re on the hunt for a new car, you should certainly consider car shopping later in the year. Your best bet is around the end of summer or even in autumn. Autumn is typically when the new year models come out, so you may be able to get an excellent deal on last year’s model.
I know so many people that don’t even shop around. They go to a single dealership and try to negotiate with them. As a frugal person, I know that you always have to shop around for the best deal. Now, I’m not saying you should shop all over the country for a new vehicle, but I am saying that you should visit multiple dealerships in your area. That way, you’ll be able to compare vehicles and rates. Also, let the dealers know that you’re shopping around for the best prices. This will encourage them to compete for your business.
Remember that a dealer is going to tell you absolutely anything to get you in the seat of their vehicle. Their goal is to get you to leave with the vehicle that very same day. Therefore, they will try to trick you into believing that the deal they’re offering you is only going to be good for that day. That way, you’ll have to make a decision on the spot. It doesn’t matter what they offer you, because you should always shop around to get the absolute best deal. If they’ve offered you this deal once, you’ll definitely get offered the same deal if you end up coming back to them. Therefore, don’t even let them pressure you into making a decision that very same day.
If you have a vehicle that you plan on trading in, you should do your research and know exactly what your vehicle is worth. Do your research on Kelley Blue Book to figure out the worth of your vehicle and print out the estimates. This will give you better odds when it comes to negotiating your trade-in value at the dealership.
Being a frugal person I hate to see any food being thrown away. Throwing away food is like throwing money directly into the trash can. Also, it’s a shame, but most Americans throw away 30% of their groceries they buy every single month. Now, that’s a pretty big number when it comes to waste. So, am I saying that you should continue stuffing yourself even after you’re full? No, I’m not saying that at all, because that’s not good for you. However, I am going to give you some tips on how you can stop wasting so much food.
I always preach that you should have a grocery list to stick by for many reasons. Grocery lists will save you money and time. You’ll be able to get exactly what you need and you’ll know exactly what you need. That way, you’re in and out of the grocery store as quickly as possible and you save money. Try to avoid making impulse purchases on things that aren’t on your list, because you don’t need these things. This could lead to overspending and food waste.
I know a lot of people that will buy things in bulk and a lot of what they end up buying will get tossed in the trash. If you have a recipe that calls for a couple potatoes, you shouldn’t buy a whole bag. Instead, just get what you need and be done with it.
Do you live by yourself; if so, do you really need that whole bag of apples that would be able to feed a whole family of six; probably not, unless you’re an apple-eating machine. Therefore, you should just buy enough apples that you’ll be able to eat on your own.
Did you plan on hosting a dinner party, but you ended up having to cancel the party for whatever reason? If so, you shouldn’t throw out that fancy schmancy cheese you bought. Instead, come up with a recipe that incorporates the ingredients you purchased for the dinner.
When you get home from the grocery store after going shopping and you’re about to stock the fridge, you should remember to put the older items in the front and put the new items in the back. That way, you’ll use up the older items first, so they don’t end up expiring.
It’s important that you make a list of the items you throw out every week and go over the list frequently, so you know what you’re throwing out. For instance, are you throwing out half a gallon of milk every single week? If so, you may want to consider buying milk by the quart, instead of the gallon.
We have leftovers all the time and they make great snacks if you’re wondering what you should have between lunch and dinner. Also, some nights, I’ll take all of our leftovers, put them on the table and our family will have a feast. This saves money, eliminates food waste and I don’t have to cook a meal for the day. In other words, it’s a win-win situation for me.
One of the tasks that most of us stay at home moms dread the most is going to the grocery store. Usually, it’s packed and you have to deal with kids, as well as being distracted by some of the new items that are out. After all, who doesn’t want to try those new watermelon Oreos? Sometimes, it can feel like it’s a hard task to get through the grocery store efficiently and make it home with a bunch of unnecessary items. Below, I’m going to go over some tips that will help you navigate your way through the grocery store with ease, save money and also have a full fridge.
I get plenty of these in my mailbox all the time and I always go through them to see what awesome sales are going on that I can take complete and total advantage of. I also go online to check out the latest and greatest deals, as well. If you’re on a budget and you want a stocked fridge, you shouldn’t be brand loyal. Typically, you’ll see items in the circular on sell that you want, but they’re of a different brand that you’re not familiar with. I would suggest giving the unfamiliar brand a try, so you save money.
It’s important that you try to keep away from the center aisles as best as you can. The perimeter is where the major of the fresh and healthy food is located, so just stick to the perimeter of the store. By skipping the center aisles you will save a lot of money and time. The only exception to this is if you need items like coffee, trash bags, seasonings, etc…
It’s extremely tempting to buy individual servings of items or to-go cups, because you can just toss them in your child’s lunch box and be done with it, but this isn’t cost effective whatsoever. For instance, my kids absolutely love yogurt and I’ve been able to save a ton of money just buying the yogurt in the big tub, rather than buying a to-go cup.
Have you ever noticed in the grocery store that the items you see directly in front of your face are the items you see mostly advertised on television? That’s because these companies pay stores to put their items at eye level on the shelves, so you’re more likely to go with their brand. However, you should look on the lower shelves, as well. Check out the other brands and you’ll probably be able to save a good bit of money.
Did you ever notice that when you’re walking towards the checkout that there is a ton of special displays set up for you to quickly take items from? The stores put these images there for a reason. They want to lure you into making a purchase on impulse. Ignore these little special displays, unless one of them has an item you already have on your grocery list.
There are a lot of services out there that promise you that they will be able to help you repair your credit score, but they’re going to charge you an arm and a leg to do it for you. As a frugal person, I’m here to tell you right now that you don’t need anyone to help you repair your credit score, because you can do it on your own. That’s exactly what I did when I used to have a bad credit score, but I was able to correct it.
If you’re curious as to why you should worry about your credit score, you should look over some of my past posts on how a good credit score can be very beneficial to you. Basically, having a good credit score will help you save money in a lot of areas in your life, so it’s important you take good care of your score. Below, I’m going to go over some tips that will help you repair your credit score. Scroll down to get started.
It’s very important that you dispute claims with all three of the credit bureaus. If you’re lucky, you’ll be able to knock a lot of the items off of your credit score that you’re disputing. When a credit bureau isn’t able to verify a claim on your credit report they have to knock it off.
A lot of people have moved onto the digital age and they’d rather dispute things online, rather than going with good old fashioned snail mail. Yeah, it may be more convenient, but you’re not going to truly receive any sort of documentation that is a record of when the dispute was received. Also, you won’t be able to dispute certain things online, either. It’s important that you go the snail mail route, so you have a paper trail and you’re able to provide physical documentation that will help you backup your disputes.
It can take a long time for your credit score to start going up, so you can’t allow yourself to become unmotivated or give up. Don’t be surprised if it takes as much as year for you to see any progress. Stay persistent, take a step at a time and it will be worth it.
Every year you’re allowed to receive one free copy of your credit report. I highly suggest that you check out your credit report every single year and take advantage of this freebie.
It’s important that you look at your credit report and take note of any errors or inaccuracies. Make sure you take notes of them.
It’s important that you take notes and make copies of every single thing you do. That way, you always have physical proof of your efforts.
Once you send in your dispute, the CRA has 30 days to respond to you. They have to include proof in their response, as well, in regards to the inaccuracies you’re disputing. If they don’t provide you with proof in 30 days, they have to remove the inaccuracy from your account.
As a frugal person, I’m always looking for ways I can save money, but you may not know that I believe fully in living a green existence. The Earth is our home and I want to take care of it while I’m here, so I’m a big time believer in the green way of life. A lot of people think that it can be difficult to go green or that they will have to change their entire lifestyle, but that’s actually not true at all. It’s really simple to go green and I’m going to show you some easy ways you can go green and save money while you do it.
This is something that I preach all the time. Eating out is a horrible having to get into and it’s so easy to fall into the trap. Going through a fast good restaurant’s drive-thru is quick, easy and as painless as possible After all, you won’t have to go home and make a meal for the entire family. However, the expenses of eating out can add up fairly quickly. First of all, you’ll be able to save money by cooking at home. Plus, you won’t have to waste gas by going to the fast food restaurant. Also, you’ll undoubtedly have a healthier meal if you eat at home.
I know this one may sound like a stretch, but this one is so easy to do it’s ridiculous and it will save you a ton of money in the long haul. Also, your table will look a whole lot fancier come dinner time. As clothes get dirty, you can just toss them in with the dirty clothes and wash them as needed. Napkins are a complete waste and just get thrown out after being used.
Plastic bottles are nothing more than a huge waste and they’re quite expensive, too. All those plastic bottles you’re throwing out every day gets shipped off to a landfill. Instead, you should get a nice water bottle and reuse it. If you want, you could get a water filter, such as a Brita filter and use it to make your water taste better.
Instead of using those old school light bulbs, you should switch to fluorescent bulbs, as they use 30% less energy than traditional light bulbs and they last as much as 10x longer. In other words, you’re saving money on your power bill and you’re producing less waste. Sure, these bulbs may cost you a little more upfront, but they’re worth it, as you’ll save money in the long haul.
People use an absolute ton of water. If you’re able to cut down on your water use, you’ll be able to save money on your water bill and help conserve our most crucial natural resource.
What simple habits would you suggest someone adopt to save money and also help save the Earth? Leave a comment below and let us know.
Part of being a frugal person is taking a step back and having a nice, long look at your budget. As a frugal person, you have to figure out where you can stop unnecessary spending, so that way you’re able to save the most money. Now, there are some things in your budget that you simply can’t go without, but there are other things that are unnecessary. Unfortunately, as humans, we’re so used to paying these unnecessary bills that we actually begin to think they’re necessary. Scroll through this list and you’ll see what unnecessary bills you’re paying.
Now, I know your husband won’t be able to survive without ESPN and you’ll find it difficult to live without BRAVO TV, but paying for cable is likely one of your highest recurring bills you have in your home and it’s completely unnecessary. If you have the Internet, you should consider axing your cable bill. Instead, you could take advantage of services like YouTube, NetFlix, Hulu, Amazon Prime, etc…
Your cell phone bill is another expensive bill that you pay for every single month, but do you really need it? Now, I’m not saying you should cancel your cell phone plan, because I think everyone should have a cell phone for at least emergency purposes. However, you don’t really need the unlimited talk, text and data plan; do you? Instead of signing up for a two-year contract, you should go with a cheap, month-to-month plan. For instance, you could sign up with Virgin Mobile for as little as $35 per month.
I know that you’re not going to be able to go without heat, but you can save some serious money on your heating bill just by lowering the thermostat. For instance, you can save 3% on your heating bill for every degree you go down in temperature. So, if you keep your thermostat at 72 degrees and you go down to 69 degrees, you’ll save 9% on your heating bill.
Eating out at restaurants or fast food places is always going to cost more money than preparing the food yourself and eating at home. It can be tempting to go through a fast food restaurant here and there, but you should definitely try to resist the urge, because eating out is a horrible habit that can wreak havoc on your budget.
It’s nice to have a gym membership, but it’s not needed and most people don’t take advantage of their membership, anyways. Instead of going out to the gym, you could always go outside for a quick walk/jog or you could load up some fitness videos on YouTube and follow along with them.
I know how tempting it can be to go to the local Starbucks and pick up your favorite latte, but it’s extremely expensive and doing this on a regular basis can really add up. I highly advise that you break this habit and get something like a French press or a Keurig. That way, you’ll be able to whip up some of your favorite drinks at home and you’ll save a ton of money.
Having bad credit is one of those things that stuck with me for a very long time. At first, I didn’t really know how important credit was, but I learned very quickly. Having no credit or bad credit can really become a financial burden rather quickly and can impact your life in numerous ways. Therefore, it’s very important that you establish good credit, so lenders know that you’re trustworthy. Below, I’m going to list out some areas where having good credit can save you money and you’ll see why your credit score is so important.
This is one thing that you probably know about, but you don’t know how just a few points can really make a huge difference on how much money you pay for something that you’re financing. The better your credit score, the lower interest rates you will receive. Chances are, you’ve seen those commercials about new cars and how you can get some amazing financing options on them, but did you even bother to check out the fine print on those ads? If not, you should definitely check those out next time, because not everyone is going to get that amazing deal.
For example, if you were able to get a car financed for four years ant the loan was for $17,000 at 3.9% interest, you would end up paying out a total of $18,388 for the vehicle over that amount of time. Now, let’s say your credit score wasn’t that great and you got an interest rate of 6.9%, you’d end up paying $19,502 for the vehicle over time.
Now, do you want to see something even crazier? Let’s talk about a mortgage loan. If you financed a $150,000 home for 30-years at an interest rate of 3.5% you would end up shelling out $242,483 for the home by the time you paid it off. Now, if you got it at an interest rate of 5.5%, you’d end up shelling out $306,608. Those are some pretty drastic changes, huh?
Did you know that insurance companies check your credit score when determining how much your rate will be? The better your insurance score, the better rate you will receive. It’s estimated that drivers that have a credit score of over 750 will save as much as $800 more than drivers that have an average credit score.
Do you know how some people have to put down a deposit for things like utilities or cell phone bills when they’re starting up a new plan? Well, people with good credit scores will often times not have to put down a deposit at all. This is because companies will look at your credit score and if you have a good score, they’ll waive your deposit fees. This could end up saving you hundreds of dollars.
If you have good credit, you’ll definitely have a better chance when it comes to negotiating prices on certain things. For instance, are you trying to get the price lowered on an automobile? If so, you’ll have a better chance of getting a better rate versus someone that has a poor credit score.
As a frugal person, I’ve learned a ton of things over my years and one of those things I’ve learned is that you can’t be frugal all the time. There are some instances when spending less money isn’t the best option. It’s easy to save money in the now, but you have to be careful, because you could set yourself up for financial failure in the future. Below, I’m going to list some ways that being a frugal person can actually harm your budget, rather than help it. That way, you’ll know how to avoid some of the pitfalls of being a frugal person.
Using coupons is one of the best things you can do in order to save a ton of money, but it can actually cost you a lot of money, as well. This is one of those frugal areas where you have to be really careful. Sure, you can save money on items, but do you really need those 23 sticks of deodorant that will most likely expire before you even get to use them? No, you don’t, and this is where a lot of people mess up.
Just because you have a coupon for something doesn’t mean you need to use it. Also, spending hours upon hours of clipping coupons and organizing them can cost you a lot of time. Time is money, so your time may be better spent doing other things. It’s ultimately up to you, but I would suggest being very careful when using coupons.
It can be tempting to head out to the dollar store and pick up a blender for only $5, but how long do you really think a $5 blender is going to last? How about those kitchen utensils you can get for really cheap at the dollar store, but they melt as soon as they touch a hot pan? Sometimes, it’s better just to fork up the extra cash up front and get quality things, rather than things that will become trash in a short period of time.
Part of being frugal is knowing where you can cut corners to save money. Unfortunately, a lot of people will cut down on their insurance to save money and this can have drastic consequences. For instance, some people will carry the minimum amount of insurance on their vehicle, because they haven’t been in an accident for years. Well, what happens if you do get in an accident? The money you’ll pay out of your pocket will likely break your bank. It would have just been cheaper to have full coverage insurance on your car.
The same applies for health insurance, vision and dental. Your health is the most important thing in the world, so don’t skimp out on it.
This is something that a lot of people do, because going to the doctor and/or dentist can be very costly, but as I said above, your health is the most important thing to you and you shouldn’t skimp out on it. Look at all the people you know that had small problems, but didn’t go to the doctor/dentist and those problems turned into huge problems. Chances are, their big problem could have been prevented if they had went to the doctor/dentist earlier.
When it comes to finding a high paying job, there are a few things that we think you should know about. In particular, we think you should know how to find high paying jobs and how to distinguish whether or not you’re a good fit for the job in question. With the helpful tips below, you’ll not only be able to do that but you’ll be able to do so much more. In fact, you will even be able to get out there and find these jobs with no problem. Whether or not you get the job is another issue in itself but take a look at the tips below.
Learn Yourself
The first tip that we have for you is to learn more about yourself. Think of all the things that you can do and search for jobs that do it. It could be stuff that you didn’t even think you could get a job doing. It’s all equally as important so make a mental note of everything you are fluent in doing. Then, you can start searching for jobs that can benefit from it.
Get Educated
The second tip that we have for you in regards to finding a high paying job is to get out there and get educated. Sure, a lot of people will tell you that an Associate’s Degree isn’t really that valuable anymore and that you need at least a Bachelor’s Degree but that’s far from the truth. Any degree looks better than no degree so figure out what field you want to work in and consider getting a degree of some sort that relates to that field. Read on.
Ask For Help
Do you know someone that is working where you want to work? Talk to them! Ask them how they got the job, how they did their resume, how they filled out their application, and see if they have any advice for you. You may even ask if you can put use them as one of your references on the employment application. It would come in very handy and it will definitely increase your chances of landing the jobs. In other words, why wouldn’t you?
Stay On Top Of It
Finally, the last tip that we have for you is this. Stay on top of it! Once you apply, follow up with a phone call in a week or two. If they out right don’t give you the job, write a thank you letter and thank whoever you interviewed with for the opportunity. It’ll make you look good and they may think of you in the future should they ever need more staff.
And that’s all you need to do in order to land a high paying job. Educate yourself, stay on top of the game, ask someone on the inside for help, and figure out what you’re good at. If you can do all of this, you should have no trouble landing a high paying job that you love!
It’s 2014 and that means it’s a new year. No longer is it 2013 and that means you have even more opportunities this year to save money than you did last year. You may have even saved up some money last year and we certainly hope that you did. Why? Well, we’re about to tell you. You see, we put together a list of a few reasons that you should be saving money. Not only are these all logical reasons but we understand the importance of saving money better than anyone. So, with that being said, we hope you’ll scroll down and look!
Your Children
The first reason that we recommend saving money is because of your children. If you don’t have children and never plan on it, you can skip to the next section. If you do have kids, what would happen to them if something happened to you right now? What if you get sick? What if they get sick? Your kids are the perfect reason to start saving money as it will keep them safe in the future as well as you. If you do anything for your kids this year, save big!
Your Future
Your future is another good reason to start saving money. Has your car just about seen its day? Are you currently renting a home and don’t own one? Is your air conditioning unit starting to act up? Think about all the things that could go wrong or all the things that you want to accomplish in life and that should be motivation enough to start saving money.
Emergencies/Disaster Relief
Depending on what part of the country that you live in, you never know what types of disasters could hit. It could be anything from hurricanes to tornadoes or even tsunamis. Make sure you have some money put back in case you ever need to stock up on canned goods and call work a “no way” for a couple of weeks. It may sound silly now but this kind of stuff does happen and most people aren’t prepared at all. Don’t be one of those people.
Peace of Mind
Finally, the last reason that we have (which should convince you to save some money) is for peace of mind. Knowing that you have a few thousand dollars saved up is a big relief of stress for most people. If your bills cost you a total of $1,000 a month and you have around $6,000 saved up, that means you could lose your job and still survive for 6 months. Most people would immediately go into panic mode but you wouldn’t have to. Think about it!
So, these are just some of the many reasons that you should start saving money this year. If you need even more reasons, ask those around you. We’re sure that anyone can come up with at least a few good reasons as to why everyone should save money. The economy goes up and down, prices go up and down, and it’s always a good idea to save some cash.
If you’re looking for some easy ways to double your money, you’re in the right place as we have a few for you. Not only are these some very effective ways to double your money, we actually have some experience with all of these methods. Whether or not they are right for you is up to you to decide but one thing is for certain. If you play your cards right (literally) then you can most definitely turn a dollar into two dollars or maybe even more.
Make A Bet
The first option that we have for you is to make a bet. Betting is a very old and effective method of making money but we want you to be careful. Never bet more than you can afford to lose. We know that you don’t want to lose any money and that’s never your intention but just remember what we said. Don’t bet $20 if you can’t afford to lose it. Bet only on what you’re knowledgeable about and start out small. If you do this, betting could become a very comfortable way for you to make some extra money and have some fun!
Flip An Item
The next option that we have for you on this list is to flip something. What do we mean by flip? Well, it’s when you buy something and sell it for more. Wait, people do that? Yep! Try buying a domain, a figurine, or even a coin to get started. See if you can land a good deal on something and then turn around and sell it for more. This is the art of flipping and if you know what you’re doing, you can definitely always double your money. Give it a shot!
Sell Your Junk
Do you have some old stuff laying around that you don’t have any money in at all? Maybe it’s something that someone gave you and you don’t even use it. There’s no point in letting it pile up. Sell it for a profit and if you don’t have any money in it, you’ll more than double your money. In fact, you may make your money back (which was nothing) by 1,000%. So, with that being said, see if you have anything laying around that you don’t want and sell it.
Invest
Finally, the last option that we have for you to double your money is this. Invest! Yes, it’s not a fail proof method of doubling your money but it does happen. This will require a lot of research and a little bit of luck but you can definitely do it. A good rule of thumb is to invest in a product that you would use. It’s much easier that way and it will be a lot of fun!
So, there you have it! Those are some of the best ways of doubling your money that we’ve came up with. Are you looking forward to trying them? If so, let us know and then come back and let us know how you did. We’d absolutely love to hear how they worked for you!
If you’ve ever wondered what the best things to flip for a profit are, you’re in luck. You see, we’ve done a lot of research as well as based the list below on our own experience. What we’ve came up with are some of the best things out there that can be flipped for a profit. You may be surprised as to what some of these items or products are but we assure you that this list is 100% accurate. It may take hard work and a lot of money but it is definitely do-able. Before you commit to trying any of this though, just make sure it works in your area. Now, what are you waiting for? It’s time to scroll down and take a look!
Real Estate
The first thing on our list is real estate. It’s definitely expensive in most cases to get going unless you simply get your real estate license and sell the homes of others. If you want to really make the money though, you could always buy old or damaged homes, fix them up, and flip them for a profit. It’s a risky game but as the old saying goes, “no risk no reward.”
Websites
You may not know this but there are sites out there such as Flippa that specialize in selling websites whether established or not. Find an established website that is making money, buy it, build it up some more, wait until you turn a profit, and then sell it for what you paid for it. You could also buy a promising site that needs a little work and just build it up until it’s making the kind of money that you want it to. From there, you can keep it or sell it.
Cars
This is another one that you probably didn’t expect to see on this list and it may require you to get a special license (if you sell a certain amount of cars within a year) but you can make a lot of dough doing this. If you don’t have a lot of money, try to find running cars that cost around $1,000 and immediately sell it for $1200, $1400, or even $1600. We’ve seen this done a lot and it’s not even anything bad. Some people simply need cash fast so they are willing to sell their car for dirt cheap. That’s where you capitalize and make cash!
So, there you have it. These are some good starting points for you when it comes to flipping stuff for a profit. Obviously, websites and cars are generally going to be your two cheapest bets but don’t get it confused. You can make equally as much money off of those as you could by flipping real estate. It may take work but the money is definitely out there. So, what are you waiting for? It’s time to get to flipping and make yourself a nice profit!
