When most of us think of flour, we think about it as a cooking tool but that’s not all that it can be used for. Below, you’ll find a few unique but practical uses for flour. The cool thing about this though is the fact that you probably already have flour in your home so if you see a use for flour that you think is cool, you can get started immediately. Now, if you’re ready to learn a few practical uses for flour, go ahead and scroll down to get started.
Paper Mache
The first practical use for flour that we have on our list is paper mache. All you need is a little bit of salt, flour, and water. Yep, that’s it! This is how most people make paper mache once they realize that glue and water isn’t the best route to go. Just think of it as a cheap hobby and you’re sure to have a blast with paper mache and this use of flour.
Decorations
Believe it or not, some people use flour as a decoration. Find a glass vase (or mason jar even) that you can fill up with flour. You can even add some dye to it in order to give it a different color. Just make sure that you use something that you don’t need for anything else as flour, over time, will settle and it’ll be a real pain to clean out of the vase or jar.
Play Dough
Do you have kids? Then you’d be surprised to know that you can make play dough out of flour. You can even make it whatever color you’d like with the use of dye. Just make sure that you’re kids aren’t eating the play dough. Even though it probably won’t kill them, it’ll make them extremely sick and it’s definitely not something that you want to be eating.
Flour Mask
Another use for flour is that of a flour mask. Flour can be mixed with rice, chickpeas, and numerous other food items to create an exfoliating mask that is great for your skin. Best of all, it’s a lot cheaper than going to a salon. You can find all of the ingredients that you need to make different kinds of masks by doing a quick search on your favorite search engine.
Ant Repellent
Finally, the last use we have for you when it comes to practical uses for flour is an ant repellent. Yes, you can sprinkle flour throughout your yard and around sidewalks in order to keep ants away from your house. This means that you won’t have to buy a bottle of $15 bug killer or hire an exterminator if ants are the only pest that you are having trouble with.
But like we said, these are only just some of the amazing uses of flour. We’re sure that you’ll find other things that you can do with flour that might save you time, money, or just give you a new hobby to mess around with on the weekends. Feel free to contact us if you have some uses for flour that we may have missed or that you think we don’t know about!
Credit can be a pretty scary thing but it doesn’t have to be. You see, with all the options that you have available to you, it’s now easier than ever to to build credit or take control of your currently bad credit. If you scroll down, you’ll see that we’ve put together a list of tips that will allow you to build credit even if you’re doing this for the first time. Are you ready to get started? Great! Because so are we. Now, scroll down and we’ll get started.
Credit Cards
The first way that we recommend building credit is also one of the most common ways of doing it. Yes, credit cards. Don’t be scared though. As long as you play your cards right and are smart with your money, credit cards can be an effective (and safe) way to build credit. There are also a lot of credit card companies out there with special programs in place to aid those who don’t have any credit yet as well as those who simply have bad credit.
Cell Phones
Another good way to build credit is with a cell phone and why not take advantage of this? Odds are, you have a cell phone or need one anyways so you’d be getting the best of both worlds. Some providers will require a hefty down payment if you don’t have credit but you will usually get it back about 6 months into the contract and it will work wonders for your credit. Be sure to check around for the best prices possible and see what you can find.
Loans
This isn’t the best way to build credit but it is still an effective method. If you do go this route, we hope that you’ll pay close attention to interest rates, terms, and don’t get too carried away. If at all possible, try going to a local finance company and taking out the bare minimum which is usually around $300. Use that money for whatever you need to and make the monthly payments. Once you’re done, your credit should improve pretty decently.
Utilities
Finally, the last way that we have for you to build up your credit is through something that anyone has to pay. Utilities! Not all utility companies report to credit but there are some out there that do. Contact some of your local utility companies to see if they are one of them and if they are, consider making the switch unless they are already your provider. If they are, then at least you know that while the lights on, you’re also building credit.
Now, you’re ready to get out there and build your credit up like never before! It does take time so try to be patient and not get too frustrated if you don’t get immediate results. A good rule of thumb is that it takes about a year to build any significant amount of credit unless you have a bunch of accounts open but if you play it smart and give yourself a couple of years to build credit, it’ll work out very well for you. Good luck and enjoy your credit!
Here in the United States, we have some pretty awesome chains of stores. The same can be said for grocery stores but unfortunately, some are simply better than others. That’s where this list comes in handy. We sat around for a bit and thought of what we think are the best grocery stores in the country. Take a look at the list below, give yourself a minute or two to think about it, and see if you agree with us. Are these the best grocery stores?
Kroger
The first grocery store we’d like to mention isn’t in all parts of the country but if you’re fortunate enough to have one, well, you’re pretty fortunate. Kroger doesn’t have the lowest prices on groceries but they do still use butchers (the best meat in town), they have a sweet Kroger card which allows you to save up to 20 cents a gallon on gas (at Kroger gas stations as well as Shell), and the atmosphere in a Kroger is unmatched by any other.
Trader Joe’s
Now, for those of you that don’t have Kroger (you probably live out West), you probably do have a Trader Joe’s. That’s a good thing, right? Of course it is! These grocery stores are amazing to say the least and we can’t imagine not being able to go to one. If you’ve never been to a Trader Joe’s in your life, walk in one whenever you can with $50 and see if you can leave with that same $50. We’re willing to bet that this is next to impossible to do.
Martin’s
We’re not quite sure how widespread this chain is and we know that they recently bought out Ukrop’s (we think) but they are still a big player in the world of groceries. They have fresh salad bars as well as hot bars, a sit in eating area, and some really good prices on food so if you ever see one of these, be sure to stop in and see what they have to offer for you.
Walmart
We know that we’ll catch a lot of heat for this one for two reason. It isn’t just a grocery store and a lot of people like to bash Walmart for whatever reason. We won’t go down that same path as we like the prices on groceries we are able to get at Walmart. They’re much cheaper than other grocery stores on this list so the only reason we mentioned them last is due to the fact that all of their meat comes in pre-packaged which definitely sucks.
But of course, this is just our opinion. If you know of a grocery store (or chain) that we missed or you think we might like, let us know! We may just do a second list in the near future of even more great grocery stores here in the US (or other areas of the world). As always, be sure to share this with your friends and have fun saving a ton of money!
Sometimes we all get a little tight for cash and we consider taking out a personal loan but how can we distinguish a good personal loan from a bad one? Well, we have a few tips for you that will help you decide whether or not the loan you are thinking about getting is a good personal loan. Feel free to refer back to this list any time you aren’t sure and share it with anyone else that may be contemplating a personal loan of any kind. Now, are you ready to get started? If so, go ahead and scroll down the page. We can’t wait to help!
Interest
The first thing that you should look at when getting any personal loan in order to decide whether or not it is a good personal loan is the interest rate. A lot of finance companies will charge you around 30% interest which, in our opinion, is far too high. Going to a bank or a credit union may land you a loan with as little as 4 or 5% interest so try that instead.
Terms
Next, you’ll want to look at the terms of the loan. How long do you have to pay it back? How much is your monthly payment? Can you afford to make this payment for the period of time that you need to? These are all questions that you should ask yourself and research when getting a personal loan. From there, it’s up to you decide whether or not it is a good personal loan. Also, don’t be afraid to ask your loan representative any questions you want.
Ask A Friend
If you live in a small area, odds are, you can ask a friend or two about the company that you plan on dealing with. Find out if they’ve ever gotten a loan through this particular company and what their experience dealing with them was like. If it was a bad one, you may want to move on and find something else. However, if they have nothing but good things to say then you may be fine moving forward. Either way, ask a few friends!
Make A Decision
Once you do all of this, it’s time to make a decision. Is this a good personal loan? Is it a bad one? Is the interest rate too high? Are the payments perfect? Do you have to pay on it for too long? Once you’ve brainstormed for a while and asked some of your friends for advice, you should be ready to make a decision. Just make sure you don’t rush your final choice.
And if you do all of this, you should be able to either find a good personal loan company or at least eliminate the bad ones. We’d hate to see you be victimized by a loan shark but it does happen. Play it safe, don’t rush into any decisions, and you should get a good personal loan. Again, if you’re “iffy” about it, feel free to refer back to this list for good advice.
Ask any home owner and chances are, they would love to save money on home decor. Why? Well, who wouldn’t want to make their home look the way that they want but without spending a ton of money? Probably no one in their right mind, right? Well, we have some pretty cool news for you. We have a few cool tips that will get you on the right track towards decorating your home with some of the finest home decor out there without spending a ton of your hard earned money. Ready to find out what they are? Scroll down!
Buy Second Hand Home Decor
The first tip that we have for you when it comes to saving money on home decor is to buy your new room fillers second hand. Essentially, we’re just asking you to consider going to used furniture stores, thrift stores, and anywhere else where you can get great deals on furniture. If you do decide to buy stuff like couches at these places, we recommend that you avoid anything made of cloth unless you have extra money to have it shampooed.
Look For Promotions
The second tip we’re going to give you when it comes to saving money on home decor is to keep your eyes open for promotions. A lot of stores, whether it is Ikea or Big Lots, run some pretty good promotions from time to time which will save you a lot of money on your home decor needs. We’ve seen amazing couches for as little as $299, desk lamps for $10, and even vintage popcorn machines for about $75. These are all amazing deals on cool items that will make your home look fantastic. So, keep your eyes open for these deals!
Buy For The Future
Finally, the last tip that we have for you is to buy for the future. What we basically mean by this is that when building up your home decor inventory, you should plan ahead. Is what you’re buying going to become obsolete in 5 years? Why spend money on anything that is going to be useless in a few years? There really is no good reason to do this. So, what you should do is think about whether or not you’ll still be satisfied with your home decor in a few years or if it’ll be time to replace it again. If it’s something that you think you’ll be happy with for a long time to come, no amount of money is too much to spend on it.
So, now that you have a few helpful tips for buying home decor, you should be ready to venture back out into the real world and make it happen. You will spend money (that’s pretty inevitable) but how much you spend is completely up to you. Just make sure that you’re getting a good deal, the home decor looks great, and you’ll be 100% fine. Still need some additional advice? Drop us a line today and we’ll help you in any way that we can!
So, you have a little extra money and aren’t quite sure what to do with it. Well, you’re not alone as there are literally millions of people out there right now who have the desire to invest money in something (in order to make even more money) but don’t know where to start. Fortunately, we have a few places that we think you should start looking into that may be perfect for investing money. Interested in seeing what they are? Scroll down!
Websites
Nowadays, most people don’t realize that even websites that don’t sell a product or offer a service still make money. That makes websites great for a potential investment. You could either buy well established sites (or sites that have promise) or build your own sites and then sell them. Either way, this is something that you should research if you want a good investment opportunity that isn’t typical or common. A good place to start is Flippa.
Real Estate
This one may be a little more expensive than investing in websites but the potential is pretty much unlimited. You also have the option of buying a home that is in pretty rough shape, fixing it up, and then flipping it for a profit. Although very risky depending on where you live, a lot of people still make their full time income by completing this process over and over. Be sure to check local regulations though as you may need a special license.
Stock
Now we get to the most common way to invest money: stock. This one requires a ton of research and if you’re serious about learning how to invest and making a significant piece of money, you’ll want to monitor the stocks you own like a hawk. Stocks change every single day and one day you could be poor and the next day rich. It’s a very risky game!
Local Business
Finally, the last place we’d like for you to look is right next door. Chances are, someone you know has a cool idea for a business they’d like to open but maybe they don’t have the cash on hand to do it. That’s where you come in! Invest in their business (or buy part of it) and not only will you potentially make money but you’re supporting both small business and the local economy. We’re also pretty sure that your friend will be thanking you forever.
But of course these are just starting points. There are tons of investing opportunities out there ranging from movies to products and everything in between. It’s up to you to pick what you want to invest in. After all, it’s your money so spend it wisely. Never jump into anything too quickly and have a backup plan in case your venture fails. Other than that, we wish you the best of success and hope that your investing adventure is a good and fun one!
Doing makeup on a budget is as much of an art as makeup itself. You see, almost every woman on the planet loves anything to do with makeup. In fact, more men are even getting into makeup whether it is for film, music, or just as an “out of the box” career. Thankfully, we put together a quick list of tips that will allow you to do makeup on a budget which means that you can do more of what you love and spend less of your hard earned money in the process. Ready to get started? Good! Because we are too! Let’s start.
Shop Accordingly
The first tip that we have for you when it comes to doing makeup on a budget is for you to shop accordingly. What we mean by this is that you should basically look for the best deals possible and make the most of it. Even if it means that you end up having to use a cheaper, lower quality makeup, you’ll only get better at what you do from it. If you can make magic with a cheap, low quality makeup then imagine what you could do with better makeup.
Take A Class
The next tip on our list is to take a class. We aren’t asking you to enroll in some expensive college that specializes in makeup but most any area has at least one class that you can take that won’t cost you an arm and a leg. If you have trouble finding a good class in your area, try asking some of your friends or searching via a quality search engine such as Google.
Practice With Groups
The third tip we have when it comes to doing makeup on a budget is to practice with groups of people. Put an ad out in your local newspaper or create a group on a social media platform such as Facebook to bring in new people. Working in a group will give you some very valuable feedback from others and you never know. You may learn something new.
Put In The Time
Finally, the last tip we have for you is this. Have you ever heard the phrase “practice makes perfect” or something similar? Well, that is 100% true. The more time that you put into something, the better you will get at it. Strive to practice for an hour or so per day and you’ll get the results that you’ve been looking for. Now, why wait? Go get started!
But before you go, there’s one more thing. Be sure to share this list with your friends and let your makeup buddies know that you’re looking to take your hobby or career a step further. It always helps to get others involved in your goals and you’ll be surprised to see how much more you can accomplish when you have the support of others. Now, for real this time, get out there and get started. We promise that you can definitely do it!
Have you ever wanted to learn how to play guitar but didn’t quite know where to start? Wonder no longer as we’ve put together a list of the best beginner guitars on a budget. What that basically means is that we’ll be giving you our opinion of the best bang for your buck when it comes to buying guitars. We won’t be giving you any off-brand guitars that you’ve never heard of but we will tell you which big companies have affordable lines of guitar. Ready to get started? Go ahead and scroll down so you check out this cool list!
Schecter
The first guitar on our list is one that we have actual experience with. In the world of music, $400 isn’t a lot of money and that’s about what you’d spend on a Schecter guitar that is built well enough to last you a lifetime. The particular model that we’ve had some experience with is the Schecter Damien Flying V with Floyd Rose (you know, the whammy bar). If you want a solid guitar that doesn’t cost a fortune, Schecter may be the way to go.
Fender
Next on our list is the classic guitar that is Fender. They make telecasters, stratocasters, and more. Regardless of what kind of Fender you get, you’ll have a quality guitar to play on. Best of all, you can get a good Fender for as little as $200 in some stores which is a steal if you ask us. However, we’ve noticed that Fender guitars are limited on what styles of music they can handle but that’s nothing a new set of pickups and a pedal can’t change.
Dean
While most people know of Dean guitars because of Dimebag Darrell (yeah, the guy from Pantera), they are pretty popular in the guitar community. They also make some very nice and affordable acoustic guitars that should only run you anywhere from $300 to $400 in most cases. While they aren’t for everyone, we do recommend giving Dean guitars a fair try.
Ovation
Finally, the last guitar to make our list is Ovation. We like the Ovation Celebrity acoustic guitars as, to us, they sound like a Taylor or Martin. In other words, these guitars sound like they cost $2,000+ but they only cost around $500 at the very most. We’ve seen them for as cheap as $300 or so but expect to spend around $400-$450 on these guitars. One last note on Ovation guitars though. They come in some very amazing and eye catching color schemes!
So, that wraps up our list on the best affordable guitar brands for beginners. Even if you aren’t a beginner, this list will serve you well. We definitely don’t think that you’ll run into any problems with any of these brands but we do recommend checking out each brand if you have the time. Then, you can make an educated decision as to which guitar is best for you. Now, what are you waiting for? Let’s get out there and get a new, affordable guitar!
The common cold isn’t deadly (usually) and it’s something that we all experience from time to time. It also seems like something that you have to either wait out or go spend money on cough medicines to get rid of. Well, that’s not the case. We have a few tips that will help you rid yourself of the common cold quicker than normal. Best of all, none of these methods will cost you a ton of money so there will be no trips to CVS or Walgreens in your near future. Now, are you ready to get started? Good! Because we are ready as well.
Hot Tea
The first cheap common cold remedy on our list is hot tea. It really doesn’t matter what kind of hot tea you get as long as it is genuine hot tea. No, sweet tea doesn’t count. Try a box of Earl Grey or anything with pomegranate in it. Also, make sure you steep it for at least 4 or 5 minutes to get all of that tea in there. Then, you should be ready to kick butt.
Exercise
This isn’t a proven fact but numerous research shows that exercise is great for most any type of illness (consult with your doctor for anything beyond a cold). A brisk walk or 20 minutes in the gym may do you very well when it comes to getting rid of the common cold. Again, we can’t stress this enough, check with your doctor if it is anything beyond a cold.
Fruit
Next on our list of home cold remedies is fruit. In particular, we recommend eating fruits like pineapple, mango, watermelon, or raspberries. We’ve had the best experience with these fruits when it comes to ridding ourselves of colds although some people prefer to eat fruits like bananas. If you can’t get your hands on fresh fruit, try taking a multi-vitamin.
Steam
Finally, the last tip on our list is one that you may have think you misread but trust us. You didn’t. We recommend breathing in steam whether its from a pot of boiling water on the stove or from a hot, steamy shower (no pun intended). This will help clear up your cold and give you the ability to smell again. After all, most colds come with a stuffed or runny nose. Steam will help you deal with that so by all means, we recommend using steam for a cold.
And that concludes our list. These are just some of the few home cold remedies out there and we’re sure that you’ll find more if you do a quick search. These are just the ones that have worked the best for us in the past so they’ll be the methods that we continue to pass on and recommend to others. Now, what are you still sitting there for? Let’s get out there, save a little bit of money, and rid you of that pesky cold. After all, it’s what you deserve!
So, you have a website that is turning a nice profit (or maybe it isn’t) and you’re interested in selling it. Maybe you don’t know where to start? Well, luckily, we have a few solutions for you that will enable you to sell your website, get the most money possible, and make the most out of your investment. We cannot guarantee that you will see your website using one of our sources or that you will ever sell your website at all but these places are a good start. Now, let’s move forward and check out the valuable list below.
Flippa
Obviously, the first place that we are going to point you to is Flippa. They are pretty much the king of selling websites and hundreds of websites (if not thousands) are sold on their site each and every week. We’ve seen sites sell for as little as $50 and we’ve seen them sell for as much as $100,000. It all depends on what you have and how you market it.
Forums
While forums require a little more effort on your behalf, they are a great place to find buyers for your website. With all of the internet marketing and business forums out there such as Warrior Forum, there’s no reason that you can’t run into a potential buyer or two for your website. The key to this though is communication. Don’t be afraid to connect!
Craigslist
While most of you think of Craigslist as a place to look at personals, used cars, and other cool stuff, it’s also a great place to sell your website. A few years ago, people were a lot more skeptical about buying virtual goods on Craigslist but that’s not the case now. Try to connect with people just in your area and be willing to meet in person. If you do this, you should have no trouble getting a few leads for selling your website on Craigslist’s site.
Specialty Companies
Finally, there are specialty companies out there that specialize in buying websites whether it is too run the new site themselves or sell it for even more later on down the road. Either way, these companies are always on the lookout for new sites to buy. Just make sure that you have some decent traffic (a few thousand visitors a day would be nice) and that the site you are trying to sell them is making money. If you do this, they should be interested!
And that’s it! These are pretty much the only places that you’ll have to look in order to sell your website. Unless you know someone personally that is interested in buying your site, we recommend going through these sources in order as you’ll most likely find a buyer on Flippa. If you don’t, move on to the other sources and see what you come up with. Now, what are you waiting for? Let’s get out there, sell that website, and make some money!
Learning how to get rich is something that most of us only dream of doing and we hate to be the bearer of bad news but there’s one problem. There really is no easy way to get rich and there isn’t a fail proof blue print that will teach you how to make a ton of money. Most of it is hard work, luck, and being in the right place at the right time. With that being said, we’re going to give you a few tips that will get you pointed in the right direction and give you the best chances of getting rich. Are you ready to find out what they are? Good!
Make A Plan
The first thing that anyone should do when they dream of making a lot of money and are ready to make it happen is to make a plan. Everyone that has ever been successful had a plan of some type. Even if you just sit down and make a mental note of what you’d like to accomplish and how you plan on doing it, that’s definitely a lot better than doing nothing.
Invest Your Money
The second tip that we have for you is for you to invest your money. Even if you’re just working a typical, 9 to 5 job, you can still invest money. Most employers have various stock options that you can take advantage of and a lot of people have earned their fortune just through investing. We also recommend looking into real estate investing and franchises.
Start A Business
The third tip that we have for you is to start a business. Usually, when you think of how to get rich, you don’t think of starting a business but it’s definitely possible. There are literally thousands of people out there right now who have earned millions of dollars (if not more) from their very first business. It’s not the most likely of options but it is a possibility.
Surround Yourself Accordingly
Finally, the last tip that we have for you is to surround yourself accordingly. Well, what does that mean exactly? We just think that in order to get rich and make a lot of money, you should surround yourself with other people who have already done this. Not only will it give you valuable insight but it will also increase your odds of earning a small fortune.
So, that’s it! These are our simple but helpful tips in regards to how you can get rich. So, the next time you search “How To Get Rich” on Google or your search engine of choice, you can take a step back and refer to this page. Each one of these tips works and while they may not necessarily turn you into Donald Trump, they will make you more money than you’ve ever made. Just remember, it takes a lot of hard work and luck. You may never have millions of dollars but if you don’t at least try, you know you’ll never obtain it.
If you’re on this site right now then there’s already a strong chance that you’re a coupon freak (it’s nothing bad). We’re coupon freaks too! There’s nothing better than saving cash and having fun while you do it. Well, we’ve got some pretty good news for you. We’re going to teach you a couple of new cool ways to save money and where you can find even more coupons. We know that you probably already have a few good sources of coupons but we’re still going to give you a few places that you may have not thought to look. Enjoy!
Sales Papers
The first stop of many on this list is within your local sales paper. Here, you can find some really good coupons, discounts, and so much more. While younger generations may not pay much attention to their local sales papers, there’s a reason that this is the go to location of older generations when it comes to getting coupons, saving money, and doing it with ease!
Online
You’re on our site right now, right? Okay, so why wouldn’t other sites be great spots to check for coupons and promotional codes. We’d like to think that you’ll only come to our site for savings but the fact of the matter is this. There are coupons that we miss that a different site may catch. By all means, do what’s best for you and use multiple sites!
Your Friends
Your friends are a great way of finding out about the latest, hottest deals on new and cool merchandise. See where they are doing their shopping, how much they are saving, and what they are doing to save money. From there, you just have to implement what they are doing into your own routine. Only then will you start to save some serious, serious money.
In The Store
Finally, we have one last place for you to look for coupons. Look in the actual store! Go down any grocery store aisle and you’ll see “Save $1” stickers on random merchandise as well as those little machines that literally spit out coupons. You’ll also pass a sales paper on the way in and that specific store may be running a cool promotion such as “Buy 1, Get 1.” The only way to find out though is to visit the store and see what they are all about.
If you follow this list of useful tips as to where you can find more coupons, we are very confident in saying that you will find more coupons and save money. These are all great sources of coupons as well as other money saving items we mentioned. Now, what are you still sitting here for? Get out there, get your hands on some good coupons, and save some of your hard earned money. You don’t even have to thank us. Why? Because we think you, like everyone else in the world, deserves a break and deserves to save some of your cash!
Starting your first business (or any small business) can be a pretty scary thing. Most of us like the thought of owning a business and think that we’d be at least moderately successful doing it. However, most of us also don’t know where to start. Fortunately, we have a quick checklist that we’d like you to take a look at that will ensure you are starting your business the right way. Before we begin though, we’d like to mention one more thing. The advice that we are about to give you isn’t set in stone. It’s just our opinion on what to do.
Idea
It all starts with an idea with any small business. Come up with a great idea and play it out in your head. If you already have an idea, you can skip this step or start thinking about why your idea is a good one (or why it isn’t). Research your competition and make sure that this is the business you want to run before you move forward to the next step on the list.
Business Plan
Next, you’ll want to put together a business plan. This will enable you to figure out where your money is coming in, where it is going out, and what your plans are for the first year or two in business. Many people skip this step which is fine but keep this in mind. Businesses that fail typically fail within their first year and we think a big part of it is business plans.
Funds
The third step that we think you should focus on is the funds needed to start your small business. A good rule of thumb is to make sure you have enough money to open the new business and cover its overhead (and other costs) for 6 months to a year. This is assuming that you don’t turn a profit in that time and your startup costs will cover your rear end.
Launch
Once you’ve brainstormed your small business idea, put together a business plan (or had someone do it for you), and obtained the money needed to start the business, the only thing left to do is launch your new business. From there, it’ll be nothing but hard work, persistence, and a little bit of luck. If this all sounds too easy, that’s because we’ve made it seem that way. These are just basic steps and running any small business will be tough.
So, this concludes our Small Business Checklist. We hope that you leave here with some very valuable information and that the launch of your new business will be a smooth one. If you ever run into any trouble, don’t be afraid to ask for advice. There are a lot of people out there that would be more than willing to help you get started. All that you have to do is ask for help which is never a shameful thing to do. Now, let’s go start that new business!
Who loves going to the movies? We know that we do! Hopefully, you do as well because we put together a little list of some pretty cool ideas as to how you can save money when you go out to watch a movie. We definitely think that all of you are going to benefit from this and we hope to run into you one day while you’re in the middle of practicing some of what we teach. Now, are you ready to learn how to save money at the movies? Good!
Eat Beforehand
One of the most common tips that we give people when it comes to saving money at the movies is to eat before they go to the movie. This will keep you tempted from buying things like popcorn, candy, and drinks. Not that any of those are bad but we all know how much movie theater popcorn costs (and how good it is). Sometimes, we just have to beat temptation though and suck it up. If you want to save money, eat before you get there.
Buy From Fandango
We actually happen to be big fans of Fandango and the fact that you can buy movie theater tickets in advance at practically any theater out there. You can even get them for cheaper when you buy more than one and just for the fact that you bought them in advance. On top of all of this, they run some pretty cool promotions from time to time that’ll save you cash.
Sneak In Snacks
We don’t mean to sound like little kids on this one but sometimes you just have to do what you have to do. It won’t hurt anyone to take a handful of nuts or a pack of crackers into the movies. You’ll please your stomach, you’ll save a little money, and you won’t be like some of those people that sneak in cans of soda and you can hear them clearly open it.
Watch What You Love
Finally, the last tip that we have for you is for you to simply focus on watching the type of movies that you enjoy. This is a pretty practical tip but it works when it comes to saving money at the movies and here’s why. If you filter out all the “what if” movies and just stick to your genre of choice, you’ll watch far less movies and in the long run, you’ll save!
So, these are our tips for how to save money at the movies. We hope that you found these tips both practical and helpful. If not, be sure to let us know! However, if you did like this list and any of these tips work for you, feel free to share this page with your friends, family, and anyone else that enjoys going to the movies. We’re sure that they’ll be happy to save a little money while doing something almost everyone loves to do. What is it?
Going to the movies!
We’ve probably done a little bit on this before and guess what. We’ll probably do it again! It’s a pretty important subject and when it comes to getting your electric bill lower than it normally is, the advice is ever-changing. You see, every single day it seems like someone comes up with some type of scheme or “easy” method that will help others reduce their electric bill. We don’t have any of that stuff. We just have what works and below, you will find out what it is. Trust us when we say this. These methods actually do work and well.
Turn It Down
The first tip that we can give you is to turn down your thermostat (or up depending on what time of the year it is). If it’s Winter, we suggest setting your thermostat on about 68 degrees. If it’s summer, we recommend setting it around 74 degrees. Both of these are pretty good temperatures that aren’t toasty or freezing cold but will get the job done.
Shrink Wrap Your Windows
Yes, this really does work. These kits can be found at almost any retail store for about $10 and it will give you enough supplies to do at least 2-3 windows so we recommend buying 2 kits. This will prevent air from entering or escaping around your windows which works very well if you have older windows. You’d be surprised as to how much you can save here!
Lights At Night
A lot of us have a bad habit of leaving a lamp on at night or the porch light to give the weird impression that “we’re home” to any potential intruders. Well, we understand this but if you are willing to budge just a tad bit and turn off those lights, you can save a lot of money. In fact, you can probably save enough money every month to purchase a home security system which will do you a heck of a lot more good than just leaving the light on.
Open A Window
Finally, the last tip we have is this. When it’s Spring or Fall, why even use your Central Air? Why use your fan? Why use whatever it is that you typically use? Simply open up a window and enjoy life. It’ll cut down on your electric bill and you’ll feel great as well. Are you worried about allergies? If so, buy one of those mesh screens and put it in the window. It will not only keep pollen, grass, and more out but it’ll keep your allergies tamed down.
But of course, these are just a few of the tips that we have for you today. You can check out some of our other great lists by searching the site or clicking one of the featured stories on the main page.
