Last week I showed you how to find free digital scrapbooking materials for yourself. To get you started as you accumulate your blogroll of beloved designers, here are a few websites that you can visit to download a lot of long-term free materials. I’ve chosen each of these websites because they leave their freebies available for a long time. So get comfortable, clear some hard drive space, prepare to type “thank you” a lot, and start clicking.
Free Kits and Elements Sets
Shabby Princess Looking for holiday-themed kits? Go here and download about 20. They’re all adorable, all free, and all just waiting for you to click.
Numb Bumm Every post on this blog contains a freebie, and they’re all adorable. Plan to spend hours here going through the archives and scooping up digital cuteness.
Dreamsfulfilled These kits and element sets aren’t huge, but they’re pretty, useful, and a good way to get yourself started quickly.
Rebecca’s Scrapping Silliness Rebecca has some lovely free downloads on her blog. Not everything shown is a freebie, but it’s worth scrolling through the archives to find the ones that are.
Free Word Art
Elegant Word Art Bethany makes daily blog updates about her family’s goings-on, and each post is concluded with a piece of spectacularly well-done word art that’s relevant to her day’s adventures, and probably your life as well. Definitely a must-bookmark.
Melanie’s Word Art Melanie’s posts are short and to the point. Though she posts less frequently than Bethany, each word art is unique, colorful, and has a whole lot of funk. Very worth checking out.
Free Elements and Accessories
Scrappin’ Cop The Scrappin’ Cop is a good place to go for stand-alone elements, alphas, overlays, and dingbats. You’ll find uses for her material throughout your layouts.
Free Templates and Quickpages/Ploppers
Angel Flight Scraps This blog focuses exclusively on ploppers and templates, so if you want to just put your photos in a pre-made design and print it, this is the place for you. She also designs projects like gift boxes and ornaments that you can print, cut out, and assemble.
Midnight Scrapping Midnight scrapping mixes personal blogging with design giveaways. She focuses on templates and quick pages. She posts a new template every week, and they’re quite unique so they’re worth watching out for.
Free A Little Bit of Everything
Digital Scrapbook Place You’ll need to register to download these freebies, but it’s well worth it because it gives you access to each week’s Friday Freebie, plus a whole slew of past freebies. Kits, overlays, elements, ploppers–DSP has tons. Get thee hence and download!

okay, the big question is where do you print a 12×12 page?
