Their museum is quite nice. There is a charge but we always enjoyed it.

Feeding the ducks and walking the greenbelt is wonderful.

There is a beautiful park on the south side of the broadway bridge. A must to check out.

Freeman park is on the North side of Hwy 20. It is a lovely park.

30 minutes north eat of Idaho Falls is a small town called Ririe (where I grew up). Hiesi hot springs is a nice pool but there is also a nature trail called Cress Creek. Any of the locals should know where it is. It is easy and nice. We take the scouts there all the time. Even with my little ones. It overlooks the valley. That part of the Snake River is home to a lot of wild life. It is one of the highest population spots for Eagle (golden I believe).

The Army surplus store just off I-15 is always fun for my family of boys.

Tauphus park zoo is a nice little zoo.

20 minutes north of Idaho Falls is a town called Rigby. They have a nice lake that is well kept with picnic tables etc. Check it out for a little free swimming.

Have fun.

Oh, there is also Blacktail reservoir. It is pretty low from what I hear but lots of fun. You can picnic or swim or fish. Easy to find. Just head east on Lincoln road (I believe it's Lincoln).

I think we will go to that zoo! What is the name of that museum? Thank you for the replies. Sounds like there is lots to do!

Tauphus Park zoo is on the south of town, between 17th street and Sunnyside. Ask anyone, they can direct you.

I don't remember the name of the museum but it is the only one in the area. It is downtown off Broadway, just over the railroad tracks.

There is also a $1 theater, the Paramount on 17th down by the mall. I know you said no movies but it might be a nice wind-down from the day. It's a nice discount theater.

Have fun! I love Idaho!
