I fell in love with these garden markers that I saw over at “it’s overflowing” and I really want to make them for my herb garden!
.
Imagine how happy I was to find this letter/number stamp set for just $13 today from Amazon!!!
.
This project was linked to an etsy shop, but I have some silver spoons I inherited from my great-grandmother and they will be PERFECT.
.
I know exactly how I am going to make them myself.
.
If you want to make some – just check out thrift stores and antique stores (or even eBay!) for old spoons and then use a stamp set to make your own custom garden markers!!
.
To make them, you will need a rubber mallet to pound the spoons flat. Once flat, you can mark (with permanent marker) equal dots for where the letters will go. Then, beginning with one of the middle letters, just pound your letter stamp (make sure it’s facing the right direction!) above the mark. Don’t pound it too hard or you will get the circle shape of the entire stamp. Continue until you have all of the letters. You can fill in the letters with permanent marker to make them pop a little more. Clean up the dots and extra marks with a magic eraser. I can’t wait!!!
